Our Egg Coffee has an incredibly rich texture thanks to the fresh yolk from our special blue eggs. It's accompanied by an aromatic, slightly bitter, and pleasantly acidic shot of espresso made from 100% Vietnamese Arabica beans. Whip them together, and you'll enjoy a flavorful, cloud-shaped drink in a cup.

The story of Egg Coffee

Egg Coffee was invented during the time of French colonisation of Vietnam when milk was scarce, so whisked egg yolk was used as a replacement. The combination of natural coffee bitterness and the frothy texture of egg yolk makes the drink uniquely rich and bold yet extremely palatable. The hot version of the drink comes in a smaller cup and has a thick, foamy egg-based head. The coffee is in the bottom and needs to be slowly stirred, mixing all the layers together to strike that perfect equilibrium.


This drink embodies some of the greatest of Vietnam, from its incredible coffee beans to the ingenuity and unbreakable spirit of its people during difficult times. The addition of proteins from egg yolks to caffeine gives it an extra kick – a breakfast in a cup that provides energy and nutrients for its people to kickstart the day.

A simple guide on how to drink our Egg Coffee

Unlike other places, we serve egg cream and espresso shots separately, allowing you to enjoy your egg coffee any way you like.

Step 1: Begin by pouring the freshly brewed espresso shot into the egg cream.

Step 2: Using a spoon, gently mix the espresso and egg cream until fully combined.

Step 3: Drink it straight from the cup, or pair it with some crunchy bread for a delightful breakfast or snack. Enjoy!
